What should I expect with premarital mentoring?
  • Everything we share is confidential. None of your personal information will be shared with anyone else.  
  • It is an interactive discovery process - not a lecture. You actively shape and guide the things we talk about. Your experience is tailored to your age, background, and personality.  
  • This is a safe place to work through anything. You will never be judged or shamed.
  • We will start off with one of the most effective relationship tools of all time: The Five Love Languages. 
  • We will spend most of our time going over the SYMBIS (Save Your Marriage Before It Starts) Relationship Assessment. You'll get a binder to fill with the assessment, exercises, and your notes. This customized resource focuses upon: communication, money, sex, love, fun, conflict, past issues, and your spiritual life. Find out more about it at www.symbis.com.  
How does premarital mentoring work?
  • Your first appointment will be with Pastor Glenn, to get some background, go over details, and connect you to your Premarital Mentoring Couple.  
  • It takes 6-8 sessions to complete. 
  • Most couples meet with their Mentors at home, getting coffee, etc. You will work out the details with them. Our goal is relaxed and relational rather than formal and clinical.
How much does it cost? 
  • Mentoring is free, but we do charge a $100 resource fee, to cover the cost of materials.  If you can't afford it, reach out to Pastor Glenn. Scholarships are available.
